In Hollywood, the word "franchise" is the new goal for every single film made.
Unlike the other pages, let's just simplify and skip to the one solution there should be at this point:
Martin Campbell should direct every future Bond film.
Re-watch Goldeneye and realize how well-crafted the film is: the story, the character development, the pacing.
As-if Goldeneye wasn't good enough, Campbell returned to direct Casino Royale - essentially the Raiders of the Lost Ark of Bond films. Everything is in this picture: action, romance, drama. Perfect pacing, a smart plot, great character development.
It should be clear that Martin Campbell knows how to take his time and make good, solid Bond films.
You take a huge step back when you rush out a shitty sequel without Campbell, as evidenced by Quantum of Solace or any other Bond film other than Goldeneye or Casino Royale in the past 30 years.
